The Training Committee of the Parent Attorney Advocacy Committee (PAAC) had a conference call to plan PAAC’s next training. It was decided to that the next training would be a half-day training focusing on emerging issues for parent attorneys held in conjunction with our next full committee meeting.
The training and meeting will take place at the Fulton County Juvenile Court from noon to five on Friday, November 30th. Five hours of CLE, including one hour of ethics, will be offered. The training will include a full committee meeting over lunch followed by sessions including the nuts and bolts of child welfare appeals, strategies and ethics in appeals, and an update on case law and emerging issues facing parent attorneys.
